Manufactured from 100% recyclable, twin walled polypropylene, Defender Pro Tree Shelters, offer maximum effective protection of the aboricutural investment. The format of the product as against traditional tube shelters, actually reduces the environmental impact associated with using tree shelters. Defender Pro Shelters are flat packed and bundled in multiples of 50, which means more shelters can be transported per consignment. Rainbow Professional can actually recycle polypropylene for use in the manufacture of our other products too which actually benefits the environment.

The benefit doesn't stop their either, this flat pack format is also beneficial to the tree planting contractor. 50 units are easily carried to site at a time, whereas with tubes far less can be handled at once. Also being of a square section when formed, each shelter is the same size and dimension as the previous and the next, with the same volumetric growing space within.

Another benefit is also the non presence of ratchet ties traditionally used to secure the shelter to the stake. With the Defender Pro Shelter, one corner of the square section inverts on itself when formed which is specifically designed to accept a snug fitting 32mm x 32mm square wooden stake. Defender Pro Shelters also increase routine tree maintenance efficiencies due to not needing to undo ratchet ties to lift the shelter. Instead the shelter simply slides up the stake single handedly, the maintenance work can be efficiently carried out, and then the shelter is then slid down the stake again, enabling the contractor to move on to the next tree with speed and efficiency.

Defender Tree Shelters have an inherrent break point incorporated in their design. Being of a square sectional design, when formed the corner which is most exposed to UV light will become weak over time. As the tree matures the Defender Pro naturally splits along these corners, thus preventing tree strangulation.
